I have been a little disappointed with some news that I got last evening. To start it off I got word of a position coming open at Monroe Central. It is a full time secretary position. I was thrilled when I got that news...(sad that one of the lovely ladies is leaving) but thrilled that there was an opening at the school! I have been thinking lately about finding a new job. I love my job but second shift is hard to do when you have a little one who is gone all day at school. Some days I don't even get to see her except to get her ready for school and on the bus. :( That saddens me a lot.
Back to my disappointment....I had put my resume in and was expecting a call. I had been keeping tabs on it and was told I would get an interview.
But.
I
Didn't.
:(
I was a little disappointed of course because I was very prepared for that interview! But, I figured going into this that someone would apply that was more qualified than me. I am okay now...I was just hoping to get my foot in that Monroe Central Door!!!!
Maybe that was not for me...Maybe my retail job is my calling. I love people, working with the public, love my boss, love my job.but do not like the hours.
I am not complaining about my job because I am very thankful for my job. I know they are hard to come by. I do honestly love my job...not many people can get up and say that they love their job..most just have them for the money, but I LOVE MY JOB...but am disappointed a little bit.
Oh well!! Have a great night.

Fall Break
This weekend was fall break for Monroe Central. We decided to take a family trip to Tennessee to visit Jeffs uncle Ted. He is there working and we hadn't seen him in a few months. What better time to go visit than a 4 day weekend!! We had so much fun. We headed out right after Kelsie got out of school on Thursday and arrived at Teds around 11:00. It was pretty dark when we got there so the scenery was very slim. We really couldn't see much...just a few of his neighbors house and the houses across the road. When we awoke on Friday morning I was amazed at what we saw. The scenery surrounding us was absolutely beautiful. Words can't even describe it. Here are a few pictures of what it looked like...
We spent most of the day Friday shopping and eating out..which by the way is not what I had planned on doing...but we had a nice day with Ted! On Friday night, Teds granddaughter and her husband arrived for the weekend also.
On Saturday, we decided we weren't spending the day in the car so we just went to breakfast at my favorite breakfast spot "Cracker Barrel". I love that place! Everything about Cracker Barrel is so fun! After breakfast we shopped most of the morning~early afternoon at a Flea Market. OMG..the stuff people try to sell is crazy! I did find a few good bargains though.
Anyways...
After we shopped a while we all decided we wanted to go back to the house and fix dinner and hang out at home for the evening. We had so much fun...hanging out, talking, reminiscing. It was so relaxing. We took Kelsie fishing. Which was her first time ever! She didn't catch any fish but she sure enjoyed trying.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures that was taken that evening.
We had such a good time. We definitely didn't want to pack our bags and head home. Oh, the memories that we made were amazing.
Hope you all have a great night..

heart wrenching, make you want to throw up....
My phone call that I got is what made me want to throw up or cry or something. It was terrifying to me at first...
You see, I got a phone call today from the school nurse telling me that she had a conversation with the guidance counselor about Kelsie. Mrs. Howell (guidance counselor asked Mrs Bolton (school nurse) to contact me because Mrs. Howell was asked to sit in Kelsies classroom and observe her. That is the message on my phone. Panic mode!!!! Why would someone send my daughter (whom I believe is a normal 6 yr old) to the guidance counselor?
Well...I let my worries get the best of me! What have I done wrong as a mother? What has Jeff done wrong as a father? Him and I have tried our hardest to be good parents..I mean, kids can't be kids these days...Kelsie is 6 going on 16 with the attitude but, I feel like we are handling it very appropriately. So, why would she be having troubles that she needs to see a guidance counselor. Why hasn't she addressed these issues with me.Her MOM?
Let my fears no longer be feared...it honestly was nothing. Kelsie has some allergy issues about this time of year and she has formed this annoying cough..Like seriously gets on your nerves cough. She isn't really even coughing. Its very hard to describe. I think she has a little tickle or something in her throat and she can't stop it..actually I think she used to have a tickle in her throat and that is the only way she knew how to stop it but now I think she is so used to doing it she just can't stop. BAD HABITS ARE HARD TO BREAK!! And even worse for a 6 yr. old. The school just wanted to make sure that I knew she was doing it. UM HELLO!!! She does it non stop. Mrs. Howell called me right after Mrs. Bolton did and Mrs. Howell said that she sat in Kelsies room for 7 minutes. In that 7 minutes Kelsie did the cough 77 TIMES! What? 77 Times?!!!? Girl has a bad habit!!
This is what we came up with...I am going to start her back on her allergy meds and see if that helps. We (me, the school and anyone else who comes in contact with her) is going to keep reminding her to stop coughing. okay..whatever... We will see if this works.
Thats all I have...I had a phone call from the school and when I listened to my voicemail I wanted to throw up...by the time I was done with the conversation I was laughing...WOW..talk about worst first instincts.
Have a good evening...its a rainy one!

a few of my favs
We had a very nice weekend. Jeff had to work this weekend so he missed out on all of our fun, but, I honestly enjoyed my weekend with my little lady. (Is that bad?)
On Friday, Kelsie and I went to a friends house for dinner with her and her two little ladies. We ate dinner and then we laughed, and laughed and laughed some more. We had an awesome time. I love her!
On Saturday, Kelsie was in the Farmland Fire Prevention parade with her cheer squad. She loved every minute of it! She got to ride on top of the fire truck and throw candy to people. The best thing ever in her eyes UNTIL she realized she didn't get any candy from the parade! ha! ha! I bet next year she WILL NOT be in the parade. Oh well, I only had to listen to her whine for about 20 minutes!!
On Sunday, my family decided to get together for one last cookout! I'm so glad they made that decision. We had a very nice time. The weather was perfect, the children were all in good moods, and the trees were changing so the scenery was gorgeous! I love my family. I know I'm sure that I told you that I got a new camera. Right? Well, lets just say a photographer I am not. I did manage to score a few good pics...well, good to me but to a photographer they probably aren't anything to brag about! I have a few of wonderful aunt and my cousins babies (they would be her grandbabies) that I just die over! I love these angels.
Hope you are enjoying your last few days of nice weather!
